What is a Wildebeest ?

The wildebeest are members of the antelope family but they resemble a small cow in appearance. They move in large herds that can contain up to one million individuals. They are essential to an ecosystem because they only consume short grasses but this is helpful to the African environment because less grass means less wildfires.
