Why is a Rainbow Curved?

The curved shape of the rainbow is due to the reflection of the Sun’s round shape. Because part of the Sun is blocked, rainbows will appear as a semi circle. If a person sees a rainbow below them from an aeroplane, the rainbow will appear as a full circle, rather than a quarter or semi circle.
